7.2 Mounting on the wall
Ensure there are no electrical wires or pipes that could be damaged while drilling
holes on the mounting surface and installing fasteners. Inadvertently drilling through
electric cables can cause a life-threatening electric shock!
1. Measure the distance between the hooks on the product and mark the drilling points on
the wall surface.
Tip:
– Use a paper template to mark the drill holes.
2. Drill the holes.
3. Place the enclosed dowels in the boreholes.
4. Insert the supplied screws. Do not turn the screws all the way to the stop position (they
should protrude slightly from the wall).
5. Hang the product onto the screws. Make sure the product is securely in place before letting
go.
6. Remove the protective film (if applicable) from the solar module (1).
8 Operation
8.1 Charging the product
When using for the first time or after prolonged periods of low sunlight, you should fully
recharge the battery.
Switch the product off before it gets dark to prevent the light from switching on and draining
the battery.
Switch the product back on after sunrise the next day to resume charging.
Note:
– In direct sunlight, a full charge takes approx. 4-6 hours.
8.2 Enabling/disabling the light function
Press the ON/OFF button (5) to enable or disable the light function.
When the light function is enabled, the light automatically turns on in the dark (< 20 lx)

and turns off during daylight (> 200 lx).
When the motion sensor (2) detects motion, the light turns on at a high brightness. After 30

seconds, it switches back to dimmed mode.
9 Troubleshooting

10 Cleaning and care
1. Disable the lighting function by pressing the on/off button (5).
2. Use a damp, lint-free cloth to clean the product.
11 Disposal
11.1 Product
Distributors of electrical and electronic equipment are legally obliged to provide free take-back
of waste. Conrad provides the following return options free of charge (more details on our
website):
End users are responsible for deleting personal data from the WEEE to be disposed of.
It should be noted that different obligations about the return or recycling of WEEE may apply in
countries outside of Germany.
11.2 (Rechargeable) batteries
Remove batteries/rechargeable batteries, if any, and dispose of them separately from the
product. According to the Battery Directive, end users are legally obliged to return all spent
batteries/rechargeable batteries; they must not be disposed of in the normal household waste.
Used (rechargeable) batteries can be returned to collection points in your municipality, our
stores or wherever (rechargeable) batteries are sold. You thus fulfil your statutory obligations
and contribute to environmental protection.
Batteries/rechargeable batteries that are disposed of should be protected against short circuit
and their exposed terminals should be covered completely with insulating tape before disposal.
Even empty batteries/rechargeable batteries can contain residual energy that may cause them
to swell, burst, catch fire or explode in the event of a short circuit.
Solution

module (1) is exposed to
the maximum amount of
sunlight.
Have the battery replaced
by a qualified technician.
Important:
– Regular cleaning of the solar module helps to maintain the charging performance and
extend the battery life.
– Do not use aggressive cleaning agents, rubbing alcohol or other chemical solutions.
These may damage the product or cause it to malfunction.
– Do not immerse the product in water.
This symbol must appear on any electrical and electronic equipment placed on the
EU market. This symbol indicates that this device should not be disposed of as
unsorted municipal waste at the end of its service life.
Owners of WEEE (Waste from Electrical and Electronic Equipment) shall dispose
of it separately from unsorted municipal waste. Spent batteries and accumulators,
which are not enclosed by the WEEE, as well as lamps that can be removed from
the WEEE in a non-destructive manner, must be removed by end users from the
WEEE in a non-destructive manner before it is handed over to a collection point.
