Fitting operator controls
NOTICE
Damage due to overheating
The Extension Unit comes with a sealed enclosure. The operation of electrical devices in the Extension Unit can cause a
buildup of heat in the enclosure which in turn may damage the operator controls.
When installing, make sure the maximum permissible ambient temperatures of all operator controls are taken into
consideration.
IP65 degree of protection at risk
The IP65 degree of protection for the entire Extension Unit is only guaranteed if all the operator controls have IP65 degree
of protection and have been installed in an IP65-protected manner. Otherwise, water can penetrate the Extension Unit
enclosure and damage the operator controls.
Operating voltage in the enclosure
Only operator controls with 24 V DC (SELV) are permitted in the enclosure of the Extension Unit.
Note
Dimensions of the operator controls
The cover is wider and higher than the rear of the enclosure. Operator controls that fit in the front of the cover may be too
large to install due to their overall dimensions.
Before installation, check the dimensions of the enclosure, electronics and connections of the operator controls. In doing so,
also take into account connectors that have been connected.
Procedure
To install an operator control in the cover, proceed as follows:
1. Mark the required cut-out in the extension unit cover.
2. Make the mounting cut-out for the operator control in the cover of the extension unit.
3. Insert the operator control in the mounting cut-out.
4. Fasten the operator control as described in the operating instructions.

Mounting and wiring the Extension Unit
Requirement
Make sure that the following requirements have been met before you start mounting the Extension Unit:
● According to the operating instructions, the PRO device is fitted to a support arm with the flange mount adapter.
● The cables for connecting the operator controls in the Extension Unit are fed through the support arm.
● All packaging components and protective foils should be removed from the Extension Unit.
● The operator controls are fitted entirely in the cover of the Extension Unit.
In addition you require the following for mounting:
● 1 basic adapter with accessory kit
● The supplemental accessory kit PRO HD LR Ext.
● The accessory kit of the Extension Unit
Procedure
This section describes the mounting of an "Extension Unit right" from below left to a PRO device that is installed to a support
arm from above.
The mounting of the "Extension Unit left" from below right takes place in the same way.
