TROLLEY SAFEROLLER v #3 ‐ PRODUCT INFORMATION
b. Utilization: The Saferoller Trolley is an E category Mobile Connecting Device (MCD) part of the Individual Safety System (ISS) according to the European directive PPE‐Regulation (EU) 2016/425 ‐ for the transport of
person (zip line) and against the fall of a height. The Trolley is made to roll over on the CBS Saferoller only consisting of a security cable and cable holders and specific accessories. The Trolley must be connected through a
lanyard connected to the harness of the participant to the activity. The activity concerned is the ropes course according to EN 15567 or other aerial adventure trails that can meet this standard.
c. User/participant: The Trolley is intended for use by an unqualified person. Its use is permitted under the supervision of a supervisor (park operator) or a competent person trained according to Standard EN15567 ,
category "E".
d. Use: The equipment of the participant must be prepared by a supervisor and the disconnection must not be possible without the use of a tool (EN 17109). The supervisor must control of the correct connection to the
CBS or by mechanical means that must prevent access without connection to the CBS to aerial adventure course.
e. Evacuation: In case of evacuation, the disconnection of the CBS safety line must be done by the supervisor only responsible for the safety of the user.
f. Modification: any modification of the equipment or any addition to the equipment may not be made without the prior written consent of the manufacturer. Any repairs must be made in accordance to the
manufacturer's procedures.
g. General limitations: The equipment must not be used beyond its limits or in any other situation than that for which it was intended.
h. Trolley Limits: The Saferoller Trolley is designed for the use of one person at a time with a weight not exceeding 120 kg.
i. Compatible materials (ISS): The Trolley must be connected to a rope lanyard by a flat knot as shown (fig.10) and to the user through a connector complying with EN 362 / EN 12275 that can only be open with a tool
(having a shank diameter greater than or equal to 10 mm) or fix with lark's head knot, a CE textile lanyard complying with EN 17109:2019 and / or EN 566 and a harness (full body or not) complying with EN 12277
j. Incompatibility: Be aware of the danger that can occur when using multiple items where the security feature of one item is affected by or interferes with the security function of another item.
k. General check: A check of the equipment must be done before each use by the supervisor to ensure that it is usable and functioning properly.
l. Control criteria: check the following points: general condition (no cracks), free rolling of the rollers, protection cover in good condition, closing of the push buttons ensuring the evacuation system, no wear on the lanyard
connected to the PPE, closing of the connectors if applicable, connection according to the harness of the participant. On the dyneema loop: check the condition of the safety seams (no cuts, loose or worn threads). Watch
out for cuts, wear or damage due to use. Flat knot of connection well in place. Track and update the dedicated registry of the dyneema loop. Check presence of the locker bumpers (2 pc), replace new one if necessary.
m. Removal from use: The Trolley must be removed immediately from use if the safety is in doubt (cracks, wear pronounced inside the throat of passage of the cable) or if it presents deformations consecutive to an
unexpected event or that the pawls of the safety catch do not work or that the casters or the protection cover are too damaged. A recirculation can only be done after inspection of the Trolley by a competent person. If
there is any doubt about the integrity of the Trolley's body, the manufacturer's opinion is required. See below all the controls and their service interval in the maintenance manual.
If the dyneema loop shows signs of wear, chopped threads, loose seams, remove the pulley until the ring is replaced.
n. Anchorage device: The Saferoller Trolley pulley is only intended to run on the Saferoller CBS and its components, the types of cables and the diameters (12 to 14 mm) authorized are defined in the Saferoller
construction manual. CBS Saferoller complies with the requirements of EN 15567.
o. Connection to the CBS: The Saferoller Trolley must be introduced on the CBS cable from the start of the route to a secure location.
p. Maintenance: Maintenance and cleaning must be carried out at regular intervals (see pictograms), more often in case of heavy soiling or salty or corrosive environment. Regular maintenance prevents malfunctioning of
moving parts (casters, escape latch, ...)
q. Integrity checks: In addition to checks before each use, further examinations must be carried out by a qualified person according to the schedules (pictograms) indicated on this leaflet and in strict compliance with the
manufacturer's periodic review procedures. If in doubt, please contact Kanopeo GmbH.
r. Repairs: some repairs can be carried out by a qualified person (exchange of casters, protective covers, dyneema loop, springs, pins) following the procedures provided in the user and maintenance manual. If in doubt,
please contact Kanopeo GmbH. Any other repairs or modifications are prohibited.
s. Follow‐up sheet: An identification sheet (serial number, year of production, date of purchase) and of follow‐up (periodic inspection) must be kept up‐to‐date and referred to during the various inspections of the PPE.
The registry must indicate the repairs and other important information.
t. Warranty: The warranty of 2 years applies only to the original buyer unless otherwise stated, that our products are sold free from defects in material and workmanship. If you receive a defective product, return it to us.
The warranty doesn't work under or cover the following conditions:
‐ normal product wear or poor storage.
‐ improper use or maintenance, modifications or transformations, or damage in any manner,
‐ return and replacement transportation and customs charges,

u. Life span: The Saferoller Trolley has a life span of 20 years for the metal parts (use and storage except oxidation due to bad storage).
The dyneema loop has a life span of 3 years of use at the date of first use and 2 years of storage before first use. The full life of the product is 5 years. The textile swivel will have to be changed after 3 years of use. Be
careful, an exceptional event may lead you to discard a product after one use. This may be related to the type and intensity of use or the environment of use: aggressive environment, sharp edges, extreme temperatures,
chemicals ... Destroy (cut) the dyneema loop if withdrawing from use.
v. Storage: Store the Trolley dry in a cool place, away from UV rays, chemicals and direct heat sources. The Trolley must be clean and dry before storage.
w. Health: This product is certified free from chemicals or materials that are hazardous to the user's health.
x. Dyneema loop warning about low melting point (140°C) and low friction coefficient (slipperiness) of the material. it is strictly forbidden to slide a rope or a strap in the dyneema ring. Only static use as an attachment
point is authorized.
