latched, and positioned with the red
and green indicator lights pointing
straight upward. DO NOT LOCK the

3. Plug the power cable into a mains
outlet to which no other appliances
are connected. The red indicator light
should turn on, indicating that the
appliance is now preheating.
4. Wait for the appliance to finish
preheating, which is indicated by the
green indicator light turning on.
5. Leave the appliance switched on for
approximately 3 minutes. Unplug the
appliance afterwards.
6. Wipe the appliance with a damp cloth
or sponge to remove any residue. The
appliance is now ready for use.
Use of the appliance (#2-5)
1. Always place the appliance on a level
and heat-resistant surface.
2. Check that the unit is closed but not
latched, and positioned with the red
and green indicator lights pointing
straight upward (the heavier part
of the appliance should be at the
bottom). DO NOT LOCK the appliance.
3. Plug the power cable into a mains
outlet to which no other appliances
are connected. The red indicator
light will come on, indicating that the
appliance is preheating.
4. Wait until the appliance has finished
preheating, which is indicated by the
green indicator light turning on.
5. Open the appliance, being careful not
to touch the inside. The first layer of
batter should be just enough to cover
the bottom of the waffle pan as shown
in Figure #2 (approx. 1 cm). After the
batter has been given a few seconds
to set, it will begin to rise a little.
6. Spread the filling in the middle of the
first layer of batter (#3), cover with
the remaining batter, filling the mould
no more than three-quarters full (#4).
DO NOT fill to the brim - this would
equate to overfilling, and cause the
batter to spill during preparation.
7. Close the appliance but DO NOT LOCK
IT. Then use the handle to turn the
appliance (#5). After 5 to 7 minutes,
the appliance can be opened to check
the baking progress of the waffle. The
appliance can be closed again if the
baking process needs to be continued.
NEVER open the appliance during the
baking process, as hot steam could
escape.
8. After the waffles have finished
baking, you can remove them from
the appliance. Important: Wear
heat-resistant oven gloves or use
potholders, as the escaping steam is
extremely hot. Open the appliance. Use
plastic, wooden or silicone cooking
utensils to carefully lift the waffles out
of the appliance and onto a plate. Do
not use sharp metal cooking utensils,
as these will damage the non-stick
coating of the appliance (#6).
9. Switch off the appliance and allow it to
cool down before cleaning it (see the
"Cleaning and care" section).
