Notes for Use
• Keep the baking surfaces closed during the heating-up
period.
• When the heating phase is finished, the green control
lamp goes on.
• The red control lamp stays on and indicates the operat-
ing function.
• The green control lamp switches on and off during the
baking process. This indicates that the appliance is
heating to maintain the baking temperature.
• The baking surfaces should always be closed during
baking breaks.
• The baking time depends on your individual preferences.
The longer the sandwiches or waffles remain in the
appliance, the more intensive the browning. In the case
of waffles, the baking time may also vary depending on
the consistency of the batter.
• Do not use any pointed or sharp objects to remove the
sandwiches / waffles or grilled food so as not to damage
the coating of the baking surfaces.
Inserting / Replacing the Baking Plates
WARNING:
• Make sure that the mains plug is disconnected from
the socket while inserting or replacing the baking
plates.
• The appliance and the baking plates must be com-
pletely cooled down!
The appliance is supplied with a set of baking plates for
sandwiches (A), waffles (B) and grilling (C). To change the
baking plates, proceed as follows:
1. Release the lid lock and fold up the lid until it remains
open.
2. To release the baking plates already inserted, press
down the release buttons on the inside of the handles.
Remove the baking plates.
3. Now insert the desired baking plates until they click into
place. Note the pins on the edge of the baking plates.
4. Close the appliance again.
Using the Appliance
Making Sandwiches
Lightly spread butter or margarine on the outside of the
toast (which will later come into contact with the baking
surfaces). This way, the sandwich can be removed from the
baking plates later without any problems.
1. Release the lid lock and fold up the lid until it remains
open.
2. Insert one piece of double toast each.
3. Gently lower the lid and close the lid lock.
4. Carefully open the lid lock, then lift the lid.
5. Remove the finished sandwiches with a wooden fork or
similar.

6. If necessary, lightly grease the baking surfaces again
after each baking process.
Making Waffles
1. Set the mains switch to position I to heat up the appli-
ance.
2. Open the lid and pour the batter into the centre of the
baking surface.
- To get even waffles, you can spread the batter a little.
Only pour in enough batter to cover the lower baking
surface.
- The filling process should be done quickly, otherwise
the waffles will not brown evenly.
3. Use the handle to gently close the lid. Hold the lid down
briefly.
4. Remove the finished waffles with a wooden fork or
similar.
5. Place the finished waffles on a serving dish or plate to
cool.
Recipe for Biscuit Waffles
Beat 5 egg yolks, 5 tbsp hot water, 100 g sugar and 1 grated
lemon zest until frothy, with a mixture of ½ tsp baking
powder and 150 g flour. Beat 5 egg whites until stiff and fold
into the batter.
For more recipes, please refer to recipe books or use
baking mixes.
Barbecue
• Wash the meat before grilling.
• Dry the meat with kitchen paper. Season it if necessary.
1. Release the lid lock and fold up the lid until it remains
open.
2. Place the food on the lower grill plate and gently close
the lid. Please do not squeeze the handles. The cooking
time depends on individual taste.
3. After about 2 – 3 minutes, check whether any gravy has
collected on the lower griddle. If necessary, carefully dab
off the juices with kitchen paper.
WARNING: Risk of Burns!
The grill plates are hot!
4. When the food has reached the desired cooking level,
remove it with a wooden fork.
Ending Operation
If you want to interrupt or stop the operation, set the mains
switch to position O. Then pull the mains plug out of the
socket. The red control lamp goes out.
