Entering data manually
Preparation

1 Switch the TV set on.
2 Select the programme position for the video recor-
der at the TV set (AV programme position).

The texts mean:
CHANNEL: the channel number or frequency of
the TV station,
NAME: the station identification
(max. 5 positions),
DECODER: activate programme position for
external decoder,

FINE TUN.: fine tuning of picture.

Instead of entering the channel number you can
enter the frequency of the TV station. To do this
press the Z
button.
VPS (red)
– The display changes from » CHANNEL « to
» FREQUENCY «.
Enter the desired frequency as a four-digit num-
ber using the numbered buttons 1 ... 0.
If both the channel number and the frequency are
unknown a search may be started. To do this press
the E button.
Store entry using the G button.
– The » TV Station Table « reappears. .
To enter data for the next programme position
repeat the setting starting with step 3 .

End the setting using the button.
Deleting the data of a programme
position
Preparation
Switch the TV set on.
Select the programme position for the video recor-
der at the TV set (AV programme position).

Preparation
1 Switch the TV set on.

Insert a recorded cassette into the cassette com-

partment. The video recorder automatically deter-
mines the playing time of the cassette.
Operation
Start playback using the Q button on the remote

control or the S button on the recorder.
Select pause/freeze-frame*. To do this press the U

button on the remote control or the U button on
the recorder during playback.

Advance frame by frame. To do this press the U

button on the remote control or the U button on
the recorder during the playback pause.
4 Select various playback speeds – forward/reverse.
To do this, during playback, press the X Y but-
tons on the remote control or

turn the shuttle ring on the recorder to the right or
left.

Return to normal playback from the pause/freeze-

frame function and other playback functions. To do
this press the Q button on the remote control or
the S button on the recorder.
* Freeze-frame picture with disturbance lines.

control or the i button on the recorder.
Wind tape, fast forward/rewind. To do this, with the
stop function selected, press the X Y buttons on
the remote control, or
turn the shuttle ring on the recorder to the right or
left.
End fast forward/rewind using the H button on the
remote control or the i button on the recorder.
Eject cassette. To do this press the N button on
the remote control or the P button on the recor-
der.
Switch the recorder off using the A button on the
remote control or the i button on the recorder.
Megalogic functions
If the recorder is connected to a TV set with Mega-
logic functions, when playback is started the TV set
is automatically switched on and the AV program-
me position is automatically selected. 13
