Preparation

4. Preparation
4.1
Installation site
The installation site must be easily accessible, free from the risk
of frost and flood-protected.
f Ensure that appropriate measures are taken in the heating
system and the cold water inlet to adhere to the permissi-
ble operating parameters for the water softening device
(see chapter "specification / Data table").

Failure to observe these instructions and the safety
and sizing information for determining the softened
water capacity may result in irreparable damage to
the water softening device and system malfunctions.

f Install the water softening device horizontally down-
stream of the system separator fitted on site in the cold
water inlet (top-up line).
f Carry out installation in accordance with the figure above.
The bracket provided enables wall mounting.
f secure the filter candle to the wall mounting bracket with
two screws.
f seal the threaded connections. If a flat gasket is not fitted,
we recommend sealing the threaded connections with
PTFE tape.
f When installing all components, ensure that the arrows on
the components are pointing in the direction of flow.
f Push the cartridge with the flat gasket up into the filter
candle.
f Ensure that the o-ring is seated correctly in the lower sec-
tion of the filter candle.
f Manually screw the filter candle onto the filter head.
f Install the ball valve at the outlet of the water softening
device.
f Install the lower filter section only after full installation of
the water softening device in the cold water inlet.
f Check the device for leaks.
