Intended use
The product is an equipment set for softening water during
initial filling and topping up of heating circuits.
Any other use beyond that described shall be deemed inappro-
priate. observation of these instructions and of the instructions
for any accessories used is also part of the correct use of this
appliance.
2.2 General safety instructions
We guarantee trouble-free function and operational reliability
only if original accessories and spare parts intended for the
appliance are used.

3. Product description
Provided the flow temperature does not exceed 100 °C, the
water softening device enables initial filling and topping up
of heating systems with softened water inside a building.
softened water has a low concentration of hardeners such as
calcium and magnesium. This reduces the occurrence of prob-
lematic limescale deposits.
Top-up water passes through an acidic, high efficiency ion
exchange resin. Hardeners in the form of calcium ions and
magnesium ions are replaced with sodium ions. This prevents
any calcium or magnesium compounds (e.g. limescale) from
forming in the circuit.
The water softening device is designed for heating systems
with an output of 20-300 kW, given an annual leak rate (natural
water loss plus water lost through repairs and modernisation
measures) of max. 10 % of the system volume.
