6. Maintenance

The resistance thermometers described here are maintenance-free and do not contain any compo-
nents which could be repaired or replaced.

7. Return

Process Material Certificate (clearance certificate in case of service)
Rinse off or clean removed devices before returning them in order to protect our emplo-
yees and the environment from dangers posed by residue from measured materials.
A return can only be made safely if the fully completed clearance certificate is available.
This form includes information about all materials which have come into contact with
the device, including those which were used for testing purposes, operation, or cleaning.
The clearance certificate is available via our Internet address (www.sick.com).

8. Storage, disposal

Take precautions for residual media in and on removed temperature sensors during storage and
disposal. We recommend suitable and careful cleaning. Residual media can endanger people, the
environment and equipment!
Disposal
Dispose of device components and packaging materials in compliance with applicable country-
specific waste treatment and disposal regulations for the region of use.
