Baud rate (basic parameters/baud rate S1):
set baud rate according to setting in SIMATRIX (standard: 2400).
Mode (interface settings/COM1 mode):
set "SIMATRIX RS232".
Protocol (interface settings/COM2 protocol):
set protocol for the connected telemetry devices.
Connection of the SIMATRIX and the telemetry devices to the control unit and the
power supply are described in Section 5.1.
Please also refer to the information in the respective Instruction Manuals of the connected devices.
Additional telemetry devices can be connected to the telemetry interface (COM2) of the control unit. It
must be ensured that the telemetry devices connected to the SIMATRIX and to the control unit
(COM2) have different addresses. Additional camera functions can be controlled by CAM + Fx
function keys (see Section 7.10).
For fault-free operation of the telemetry devices connected to the control units, the picture selection of
the telemetry devices to be controlled must be carried out with the key sequence "xxx"-"Cam"-"yyy"-
"Mon". It is not possible to switch the cameras using a function key (F1 to F10).
Parameterization
In operating mode "Control unit connected to SIMATRIX RS232 interface", the
keys F1 to F10 are parameterized in the video matrix.
To select the telemetry devices and monitors, enter the key sequence as shown in
the following table. You must start again if you do not press the next key within
three seconds. Example:
