Switching on the transmitter

The magnet supplied is required to switch
the device on. The status LED displays the
progress.
▷ Hold the magnet against the recess on the
transmitter (see figure 4, page 3).
The LED briefly lights up in red at first. Once
the LED turns green, you can remove the
magnet from the casing. The LED will then
go out.
From the time the transmitter is switched on,
it can take up to 20 minutes before the trans-
mitter is ready for operation and able to send
measured values.
The transmitter cannot be switched off using
the magnet. If required, the transmitter is swit-
ched off by Deepfield Connect over the cellular
network.

Assembly

Testing the cellular network
There must be cellular reception at the planned
location so that the transmitter can transfer
the measured values. You can test the recep-
tion using the ready-to-use transmitter.
The status LED displays the signal strength.
The transmitter transmits values once per hour
regardless of whether sensors are already con-
nected. The signal strength cannot be tested
during this transmission process. This status is
shown by a continuous blue light on the status
LED when the signal strength is being tested.
▷ Briefly hold the magnet against the recess
in the transmitter casing to test the cellular
network.
The status LED can then display the following
statuses:
LED
Meaning
Blue,
Measured values are being
continuous
transferred. Signal strength
testing then takes place
automatically.
Blue,
The signal strength is being
flashing
tested (max. 3 minutes).
Green
Strong signal
Yellow
Adequate signal
Red
Insufficient signal
