8.3 Operating environment

Do not expose the product to any mechanical stress.

The product must not be exposed to extreme temperatures exceeding the technical specifications, strong shocks,

flammable gases, vapours and solvents.
The monitor must not be exposed to moisture and dampness.

The reversing camera is waterproof. This system construction enables use outside a motor vehicle.

Avoid using the product near strong magnetic or electromagnetic fields, transmitter aerials or HF generators.

Otherwise, the product may not function properly.

8.4 (Rechargeable) batteries

When inserting the battery, ensure that the polarity is correct.

Always remove the battery when not in use for a long time to avoid damage from leakage. Leaking or damaged

batteries may cause acid burns if they come into contact with your skin. Always use protective gloves when
handling damaged batteries.
Keep batteries out of the reach of children. Do not leave batteries lying around, as there is risk that children or

pets swallow them.
Batteries must not be dismantled, short-circuited or thrown into the fire. Never attempt to recharge non-recharge-

able batteries. This may cause an explosion!

8.5 Installation and connection

This installation manual does not apply to all vehicle types. Given the variety of manufacturers and vehicle types,

the following information will serve as a general guideline. If you have any questions related to your vehicle,
please contact the manufacturer or a specialist workshop.
Improper installation and cabling can damage the vehicle's electrical system, including critical computer and op-

erating systems. This can also lead to an accident or fire, resulting in property damage or serious personal injury.
We recommend having a qualified automotive electrician carry out the installation and connection.

8.6 Operation

Consult an expert when in doubt about the operation, safety or connection of the device.

If it is no longer possible to operate the product safely, take it out of operation and protect it from any accidental

use. DO NOT attempt to repair the product yourself. Safe operation can no longer be guaranteed if the product:
– is visibly damaged,
– is no longer working properly,
– has been stored for extended periods in poor ambient conditions or
– has been subjected to any serious transport-related stress.
