gas bottle - N.B.: 2x left-hand thread. Use leakage spray or a foaming agent to test the joints for leaks.
Never test with a naked flame!

4. Safety instructions

Set up the party radiator on a level surface with either no or only a very slight gradient (max. 5°).
Caution: The radiator may be used only under supervision.
Do not touch the reflector or perforated plate when in use - Risk of burns!
Keep a safe distance between the radiator and combustible objects during use.
Do not fasten any objects to the party radiator.
Use the radiator only outdoors.
Use the radiator only for heating purposes.
In strong winds it is advisable to secure the foot with extra weight or to fasten it to the ground or to stand it
in a safe place.
If you are not going to use the party radiator for some time, cover the perforated plate and top with foil in
order to prevent dust and insects getting inside.
Always turn off the party radiator before you move it.
Check that the seal on the bottle valve is present and in good condition. Do not use additional seals.
At the first sign of any trouble, close the shut-off valve on the gas bottle at once.
The party radiator may be operated only in conjunction with a pressure regulator set to the permissible
outlet pressure (see the radiator nameplate and factory setting).
It is imperative to carry out the start-up and ignition procedures as described in section 6.1.
Maintenance: The gas pipe has to be inspected by a specialist workshop every 5 years.
Notes on commercial use:
Various regulations and standards (BGV D34 (VBG 21), DIN 4811-3 and TRF 96) require the installation of a
safety pressure regulator with integrated excess pressure cut-out if the party radiator is used commercially
(e.g. on fairgrounds). Your party radiator is not supplied with such a safety pressure regulator.
Before you put the radiator into operation it is imperative to use a leak detection spray or a foaming agent to
test for leaks at all the connections. Never use a naked flame. Never test for leaks when the radiator is in
operation.
5. Connecting to the gas bottle (5 or 11 kg)
To connect the radiator to a gas bottle you need the following parts:
A standard gas bottle.
A non-adjustable, DVGW-approved pressure regulator for a maximum capacity of 1.5 kg/h (delivered with
the radiator) to match the gas bottle used. Operating pressure as per the factory setting.
A DVGW-approved hose pipe of sufficient length that can be installed without any kinks.
A DVGW-approved leak detection spray or a foaming agent.
6. Operating the radiator
6.1 Starting up
Open the gas bottle valve. Turn the button 90° (anti-clockwise) to high setting. Then press the button and at
the same time actuate the piezo igniter (a maximum of 5 attempts). Keep the button pressed for approx. 10
seconds after ignition until the burner remains on. If the flame goes out you must wait at least five minutes
before making a second attempt at ignition. This is vital to avoid detonations which could put your health at
risk
The setting mechanism has the following settings: zero, high (large flame) and low (small flame). Infinitely
adjustable setting of the heat output is also possible between these two settings. A thermoelectric ignition cut-
out prevents gas escaping when there is no flame.
