Mode of operation BASIC STEPPER
8.5.1
Sequence without tip dress
If the number of tip dress cycles will be programmed with „0",
then the Basic Stepper operates without tip dress function.
Each step will be passed once only.
Steps with number of spots = "0", will be jumped over.
With beginning of the last step with a number of spots greater "0", the electrode
has the state "prewarning".
At the end of the last step with a number of spots greater "0", the electrode
has the state "Max. electrode life".
If the control parameter "Stop at end of stepper" has the setting "off", then the
control will not stay, but continue to work with the parameters of the last %I
change.
8.5.2
Sequence with tip dress
If the count oft he tip dress cycles will be programed greater „0", then the Basic
Stepper work with tip dress function.
The first step will be passed once only at first.
Then the second step will be passed.
If the programmed number of tip dress has not yet reached, then at the end of the
cycle of the second step the output "tip dress request" will be set .
So long as the electrode will not be tip dressed, now will be passed on after
another the third step, the fourth step and the fifth step.
After tip dressing happened, the Basic Stepper jump again to the begin of the
second step.
If the number of programmed tip dress has reached, the Basic Stepper also jump
again th the begin of the second step. But in this case the output „prewarning" will
be set, to point to the last pass.
With beginning of the third step and the max. number of tip dress, the output "End
of stepper" will be set. Then the electrode should be changed.
If the electrode did not be changed, the electrode operate now in the state
"extended electrode life". The electrode pass the third step in this state. With it the
output "End of stepper" disappear.
