12. TROUBLESHOOTING
During the voice connection, a beep is emitted every 5 seconds.
This informs the passengers that a call is taking place (interception protection sound)
During commissioning, an emergency call triggering is immediately attempted
Check your emergency call button. Set the NC (opening
contact, normally closed) to NO (closing contact, normally
open) or vice versa. Factory default of the elevator emer-
gency telephone: (Normally open) or NO (closing contact)
to NC (opening contact).
Alarm button is stuck.
The device is unable to make an alarm call.
No telephone line available, check telephone line (*)
No emergency phone number has been programmed.
If an emergency call centre is used and communication is based on a protocol, ensure that the
identification number is programmed and the correct call type is set (page 13 Alarm codes and call
type).
Unusual sounds are emitted after dialling and the message "Service not available" is announced.
The wrong phone number has been programmed.
Service not available, check telephone line (*)
The intercom station cancels the emergency call start sequence.
Power supply too weak.
The battery is weak or not charged.
The call centre cannot hear the people trapped in the elevator cabin.
If the call centre answers the call using a normal telephone, i.e. not using a receiver or via a proto-
col, please make sure that the call type for the emergency phone number is set to "VOICE".
