Do not leave it unattended and keep children and pets out of the room. Just
before full steam production, a small amount of bubbling and water will reach the
steam plate. Beware of hot water discharge prior to steam delivery.
Steaming: Remember to check a small area first.
Operation is easy for both right and left-handed people.
Hold the steam plate flat against the wallpaper for about 10 seconds. Now move the
plate to immediately next to the wallpaper you have just steamed - from which the
paper will now easily come loose with a little help from wallpaper scissors.
In this way, it should be possible to remove the paper continuously, although some
types of paper may require longer steaming, or the paper may not be completely
removed the first time.
Unplug the machine and leave it to cool for at least 2 minutes before removing the
filler cap - watch out for steam - and refilling the machine.
When you have finished, leave the machine to cool down completely and empty it.
Always store the unit empty.
SAFETY INTERRUPTER
A safety interrupter is fitted to prevent overheating of the element if the water boils
low. If the appliance stops boiling during operation, this may be the cause. Wait 2
minutes before removing the filler cap and then fill with water again. The cut-out will
reset itself and steam will be produced again within 5-25 minutes.
The safety interrupter does not protect the element if a partially filled unit is
tilted during operation in such a way that part of the element is out of the water
for more than 15-20 seconds.
Other applications for the steam plate
Vinyl floor tiles
Vinyl floor tiles can also be removed if the sheet is left long enough for the heat to
penetrate the adhesive. Once the adhesive is hot, it softens and the tile can be
peeled off the floor.
Sterilising soil
To sterilise soil in seed trays or greenhouses,
rake the soil to obtain a fine surface. Leave the
steam plate on each part for 2 to 2.5 minutes so
that the steam has penetrated through the
surface.
Killing weeds
Steam kills weeds on paths and terraces without
the use of chemicals. You need to steam for 1 to 1.5 minutes to kill the weeds.
