1. Ensure that the Orbital welding power source is switched on.
2. Move the rotor into the basic setting (0 position) (e.g. by pressing the key "END.0POS" in the control panel at the weld head).
3. To open the clamping unit (20) fold both clamping locks (21) upwards
4. Insert the workpiece (15).
5. In the control panel, press the MOTOR button and keep it pressed until the desired electrode hole 1.0 or 1.6 mm
(0.039"/0.063") (16) has reached the 12 o' clock position. Observe the markings in the rotor (see small image below)
6. Switch off the Orbital welding power source.
7. Loosen the electrode clamping screw (19).
8. Check the sharpness and geometry of the electrode (17) (See chap. 10.5, p. 85) and insert it into the electrode hole (16).
9. Set the electrode distance with a feeler gage (18) and hand-tight the electrode clamping screw (19) by means of a screwdriver.
10. Ensure that the electrode does not project beyond the toothed space of the rotor. If required, shorten the electrode.
11. Switch on the Orbital welding power source.
12. In the control panel press the button END.0POS to bring the rotor into the home position (0-position).

The OW19 has 2 electrode holes for electrode diameters 1.0/1.6 mm
(0.039"/0.063"), which are marked in the rotor by 2 electrode markings (see chap. 3.4, page
57).
