Digital Thermo-Hygrometer
for humidors
Thank you for choosing this product from TFA.
1. Before you use this product
• Please make sure you read the instruction manual
carefully.
• Following and respecting the instructions in your
manual will prevent damage to your instrument and
loss of your statutory rights arising from defects due
to incorrect use.
• We shall not be liable for any damage occurring as
a result of non-following of these instructions. Like-
wise, we take no responsibility for any incorrect
readings or for any consequences resulting from
them.
• Please pay particular attention to the safety
notices!
• Please keep this instruction manual safe for future
reference.
2. For your safety
• This product should only be used as described within
these instructions.
WARNING
• Keep this device and the battery out of reach of chil-
dren.
• Small parts can be swallowed by children (under
three years old).
• Batteries contain harmful acids and may be hazardous
if swallowed. If a battery is swallowed, this can lead
to serious internal burns and death within two hours.
If you suspect a battery could have been swallowed
or otherwise caught in the body, seek medical help
immediately.
• Batteries must not be thrown into a fire, short-circuit-
ed, taken apart or recharged. Risk of explosion!
• Low batteries should be changed as soon as possible
to prevent damage caused by leaking. Remove the
battery if you do not use the device for a long period
of time. Make sure the polarities are correct.
• Avoid contact with skin, eyes and mucous mem-
branes when handling leaking batteries. In case of
contact, immediately rinse the affected areas with
water and consult a doctor.
CAUTION
• Unauthorised repairs, alterations or changes to the
product are prohibited.
• Do not expose the device to extreme temperatures,
vibrations or shocks.
• Clean the device with a soft damp cloth. Do not use
solvents or scouring agents.

4. Getting started/Operation
• Remove the protective film. Open the battery compart-
ment at the back and remove the battery insulation
strip. Close the battery compartment. The device is
ready for use.
• All LCD segments will be displayed for a short moment.
The humidity in large format and the temperature
appear on the display as well as a smiley to indicate the
humidity comfort level for storing cigars (Fig. 3).

• Press the UP/DOWN button and MAX and the highest
temperature and humidity is displayed since the last
reset. Press UP/DOWN button again to show the mini-
mum (MIN) values.
• Press the SET button while the maximum or minimum
values are displayed to reset the values.
• Press the UP or DOWN button again to return to
normal mode or wait 20 seconds.
• Remove the battery to turn off the instrument.
5. Calibration function
• The thermo-hygrometer allows the user to calibrate
the display of humidity measurement with an external,
better reference source. The user can make an adjust-
ment to the humidity display (offset).
• Press and hold the SET button in normal mode for
5 seconds.
• The gear symbol flashes and "0" (default setting,
without offset) flashes on the lower display.
• The current humidity display remains on the display.
• Press the UP or DOWN button to correct the humidity
display (offset ±9% in steps of 1%). The display
changes accordingly.
• Press the SET button briefly to confirm the setting or
wait 20 seconds, the device will save the setting auto-
matically. The gear symbol appears permanently in
the display when an offset has been set.
• Now you can use the device again as usual.
• Changing the battery resets any calibration that may
have been set and the device works again with the
factory's calibration.
6. Attachment
1. On metal surfaces: Use the two magnets at the back
of the instrument for placement on metal surfaces.
2. Build-in: Insert the device into a suitable housing
(Installation dimensions Ø 44 mm). Please make sure
that it is possible to change the battery.
3. Behind glass (humidor): Place the device in the hold-
er. Attach the holder to the inside of the glass pane
with the four self-adhesive pads. Please clean the
glass before. You can read the measured values from
the outside easily.
7. Battery replacement
• Change the battery when the device functions become
weak.
• Open the battery compartment and insert a new bat-
tery CR2032 (+pole above). Close the battery com-
partment.
8. Troubleshooting

If your device fails to work despite these measures, please
contact the retailer where you purchased the product from
for advice.
9. Waste disposal
This product and its packaging have been manufactured
using high-grade materials and components which can
be recycled and reused. This reduces waste and protects
the environment. Dispose of the packaging in an environ-
mentally friendly manner using the collection systems
that have been set up.
Disposal of the electrical device
Remove non-permanently installed batteries
and rechargeable batteries from the device and
dispose of them separately.
This product is labelled in accordance with the
EU Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment
Directive (WEEE).
This product must not be disposed of in ordi-
nary household waste. As a consumer, you are
required to take end-of-life devices to a desig-
nated collection point for the disposal of elec-
trical and electronic equipment, in order to
ensure environmentally-compatible disposal.
The return service is free of charge. Observe
the current regulations in place!

Disposal of the batteries
Never dispose of empty batteries and recharge-
able batteries with ordinary household waste.
They contain pollutants such as heavy metals,
which can be harmful to the environment and
human health if disposed of improperly, and
valuable raw materials such as iron, zinc, man-
ganese or nickel that can be recovered from
waste.
As a consumer, you are required by law to take
them to your retail store or to an appropriate
collection site depending on national or local
regulations in order to protect the environment.
The return service is free of charge. You can
obtain addresses of suitable collection points
from your city council or local authority.
The symbols for the contained heavy metals are:
Cd=cadmium, Hg=mercury, Pb=lead.

• Batteries and rechargeable batteries containing lithium
(Li=lithium) present a high risk of fire and explosion
