OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
Professional Halogen Flood Light PL-838B
Dear Customer,
You have bought one of the most powerful, most compact and most reliable Halogen Flood Light of its class.
Please be sure to read this manual carefully before putting the unit into operation.
Warning!!! Important security advice!!
- Must not be operated under adverse circumstances such as: Temperatures above 50°C, inflammable gas, solvents,
vapors, dust, humidity over 80% rel. or water.
- As soon as you assume that operation of the unit under safe circumstances is no longer possible, unplug the unit
immediately and make sure that it not put into operation inadvertently. Operating the unit has become unsafe when
the unit does not show any signs of working or has been visibly damaged, when damage has occurred during
transport of after storing the unit under unfavorable circumstances.
- Servicing and repairs must be conducted by authorized personnel only. Only parts of the indicated value shall be
used as replacement.
Areas of application: Tough and reliable Halogen Flood Light for professionals, hunting, hobby and camping provides
optimum light for every occasion. The lamp contains a built in maintenance free rechargeable lead battery. It has an est.
range of 1000m and an approx. running time of up to 5 hours. This lamp is equipped with an emergency light function. The
rechargeable battery can be charged by included 230V AC adaptor or 12V DC adaptor.
Optional accessory: Wall bracket LS-10 with charging function.

Important instructions / advice for longer battery life!!
- Charge for approx. 24 hours before first use.
- Lead batteries achieve their maximum service life if they are stored in a fully charged state. Connect the lamp back to
the charger after use. The lamp can remain connected to the charger. The electronic charging circuit ensures
optimum charging conditions. The battery cannot be overcharged.
- Even when not in use the battery should be charged min. every 3 month
- Unfortunately, we cannot assume any guarantee for the halogen bulb or the battery.
Emergency light function: Your lamp will automatically turn on in case of power outage if it was priorly connected to the
230V-main power source and turned on. When the power outage has ceased, your lamp will automatically turn off.
Simulation of emergency function:
Disconnect the charger from the 230V-mains network - the lantern automatically is lightning.

Operation with external rechargeable battery: The search light PL-838B may be operated optionally with an external
rechargeable battery. This additional rechargeable battery allows for doubling the stated operating time of the search light.
The additional rechargeable battery may be charged either over the 230V AC power pack or the 12V DC charging adapter.
Rechargeable battery:
This lead battery can be recharged approx. 300-400 times. At need, replace it only with the same type battery.
Replacing the 10W halogen bulb:
Open the screw on reflector cover (8) by turning counter clockwise and remove it. Release the safety screw of the 10W
halogen bulb and replace it. For assembling follow the above steps backwards.

Environmental instructions: This lamp contains a lead battery. Defective lead batteries must be disposed of as
special waste.
Environmental protection information
When no longer in use, this product may not be deposited in the normal household waste but
should be brought to a collection point for the recycling of electrical and electronic appliances. A
symbol on the product, the operating instructions or the packaging draws attention to this.
The materials are recyclable as marked. By re-use, recycling or another form of using old
appliances you are making an important contribution towards the protection of the environment.
Please ask your local authorities for the appropriate disposal point.
