with injured, irritated, damaged or intact skin. You should use bandages, for example.

Purpose
The MECRON elbow splint is used to immobilize the elbow joint.
Indications / Contraindications
Indications
> Elbow sprain
> Elbow osteoarthritis
> Fracture after-care
> Rheumatic elbow joint effusion
> Preoperative / postoperative / post-traumatic immobilisation (e. g. in proximal ulnar
nerve syndrome)
> Descending tendinopathy
> After bursectomy
Contraindications
> No contraindications are known.

Design features

The elbow splint features two aluminium flexion rods for stabilization. The rods are accommodated
in a bag that has a hook and loop fastener. The rods are removeable and can be bent further if
required. The splint is fixed with hook and loop fasteners and provides a secure, comfortable fit for
the patient. The flexion angle can be fixed with the hook and loop fasteners at the side.
Working life / Lifespan of the product
The lifespan of the medical device is determined by natural wear and tear due to proper han-
dling / cleaning. The medical device is designed to be used for the usual duration of use prescribed
by a doctor without showing a reduction in safety or performance. After the period of use
prescribed by your doctor, check the function of the product together with your doctor or specialist
dealer.
