4. Align the saw in a vertical position and saw along the

1. Place the saw with branch bow, with light pressure
on the workpiece.
2. Switch on the device.

Note
The telescopic extension is an optional accessory for
cutting wood and branches up to a height of 3.5 m.

Before using the telescopic extension, read its operat-
ing instructions.

Finishing operation

1. Remove the battery pack from the device (see
Chapter Removing the battery pack).
2. Clean the device (see Chapter Cleaning the de-
vice).
Removing the battery pack
Note
During longer work breaks, remove the battery pack
from the device and secure it against unauthorised use.
1. Remove the battery pack from the battery pack hold-
er.

1. Press the branch bow unlocking button.
2. Pull out the branch bow forwards.

1. Turn the saw blade tensioner anticlockwise and hold
it.
2. Pull out the saw blade.
Malfunctions often have simple causes that you can
remedy yourself using the following overview. When in
doubt, or in the case of malfunctions not mentioned
here, please contact your authorised Customer Service.

Cause
Battery pack is not inserted correctly.
The battery pack holder is not inserted/
latched correctly.
Battery pack is empty
Battery pack is defective.
3. Turn the saw blade tensioner clockwise back to the
original position.

Be aware of the weight of the device during transport
and storage.

Uncontrolled startup
Remove the battery from the device before transport.
1. When transporting in vehicles, secure the device
against slipping and tipping over according to the
applicable guidelines.

1. Clean the device, see chapter Cleaning the device.
2. Store the device in a dry, well ventilated location.
Keep away from corrosive substances such as gar-
den chemicals and defrosting salt. Do not store the
device outdoors.

the device.
Note
Always keep the machine and the ventilation slits clean
to ensure safe and proper working.

Clean the saw blade holder preferably with compressed
air or a soft brush.
Note
Do not clean the device with water.

As the battery pack ages, even if it is looked after, its ca-
pacity reduces such that the full run time will no longer
be reached when fully charged. This does not indicate a
defect.
Rectification
 Push the battery pack into the mounting
until it latches into place.
 Push the battery pack holder into the
mount until it audibly latches into place.
 Charge the battery pack.
 Replace the battery pack.
