Cleaning
Excessive dirt can lead to impairment of
the function of the folding arm awnings.
You should therefore check them regularly
for dirt and clean them if necessary.
The following points need to be consid-
ered for cleaning purposes:
WARNING – Risk of falling. When
cleaning the awning there is a high risk of
injury by falling from an elevated position
into the interior space or out of the
window. Only use slip-resistant ladders
when cleaning the awning.
NOTICE – Risk of damage to property. If
a awning is not properly cleaned, it cause
damage to property. Do not clean the
awnings with a high-pressure appliance.
Do not let any detergent get into the
guides and drive.
The awning must not be live when it
is being cleaned.
Turn off the power supply to the
electrical supply line by removing the
associated circuit breaker and/or by
turning off the fuse.
After it has been cleaned, the awning
must be moved into the upper and
lower end position for a monitored
test run.

Maintenance
The awnings are essentially mainte-
nance-free.
Periodic inspections need to be carried
out for visible defects in exposed areas.
A trained electrician must carry out the
inspection or maintenance of electrical
parts.
Only use original spare parts!
8.
Faults
Below is a list of the possible causes for
the fault:
Manipulation by persons who remain
in the danger zone of the awning.
Mechanical defect of moving com-
ponents
Extremely dirt
Defect in an electrical component,
such as the motor, cables, etc.
Defect in the control
Caused by the weather: snow, icing
over, storm, etc.
DANGER
areas with electrics (e.g. motor, cables,
etc.) inherently entail the risk of electric
shocks. Always turn defective awnings off
so they are without power.
CAUTION – Unexpected start-up.
Faults can cause unexpected movements
in electrically operated awnings. Do not
reach into moving parts. Turn defective
awnings off so they are without power.
Only specially trained personnel may carry
out troubleshooting processes and
repairs. In the event of a fault, please
