Care and maintenance

1. Always unplug the steam iron from the wall socket and let it cool down for about 30 minutes
before cleaning or maintenance.
2. Drain the remaining water from the water tank to prevent it from leaking during cleaning.
3. Wipe the steam iron with a soft, damp cloth and dry it thoroughly.
4. Use a cotton swab moistened with methylated spirits to remove any deposits around the
steam holes. Wipe off the methylated spirits with a soft, damp cloth and dry thoroughly.
5. Do not immerse the steam iron in water or any other liquid.
Storage
1. Before storing the steam iron, make sure it has cooled down and dried well.
2. Check that the water tank is empty.
3. Put the cord and steam pipe into the storage space on the base: Never put it too tight, as
this may cause damage.
4. Place the steam iron on the rubber support of the base unit: This will prevent scratching the
ceramic soleplate.
5. Store in a cool, dry place.
