Before First Use
1. Before using the steam iron for the first time, make sure it is switched off and unplugged
from the mains power supply.
2. Clean the outside surface of the steam iron with a soft, damp cloth and dry it thoroughly.
3. Do not immerse the steam iron in water or any other liquid.
Note:
When using the steam iron for the first time, a slight odour and a small amount of smoke
may be emitted. This is normal and will soon disappear. Ensure adequate ventilation around the
steam iron.
Instructions for Use
Filling the water tank
STEP 1: Make sure that the steam iron is switched off and the plug is disconnected from the
socket.
STEP 2: Check whether the steam control is in the "MIN" position.
STEP 3: Place the steam iron on the housing and remove the water tank by the handle of the
tank, then pull it out and away.
STEP 4: Fill a suitable measuring cup with water and carefully pour the contents into the water
tank.
STEP 5: Place the water tank back into the base unit until it clicks into place.
Note: It is recommended to use tap water when filling the water tank instead of 100% deionized
water as this may affect the internal sensors of the steam iron and prevent the pump from
working properly.
Waring: Do not fill the water tank with hot water.
Warning: Never add descaling, aromatic, alcoholic or cleaning agents to the device, as this may
damage the device or make it unsafe for use.

Ironing with steam

When steam ironing for the first time, it is recommended to iron a regular cloth to test whether
the steam iron is working at the correct temperature. Make sure this is done without using the
steam setting.
STEP 1: Fill the water tank according to the instructions in the chapter 'Filling the water tank'.
STEP 2: Plug in the mains plug and turn the temperature control clockwise on the steam iron at
the mains power supply.
STEP 3: To increase the temperature of the steam iron, turn the temperature dial clockwise until
the desired temperature is selected. Lower the temperature by turning the temperature dial
counter clockwise. The temperature indicator light will come on to indicate that the steam iron
is heating up: This will turn off when it is ready to use.
STEP 4: Select the steam setting by pressing and holding the steam button. The steam setting
can be switched off at any time by releasing the steam button.
STEP 5: Push the steam locker with continuous steamer without pressing the steam button.
STEP 6: After use, turn the temperature control knob to the 'MIN' position and then unplug the
steam iron from the mains power supply.
Note: The steam iron must be set to at least the 2-point heat setting to produce steam.
Note: When the steam iron is not in use, make sure it rests on the base unit.
Warning: Do not use the steam iron to iron a specific area for a long time as it will damage the
fabric.
Caution: The hose will get very hot during use: Do not touch it.
