Continually discharging the battery to soft LVC can still permanently damage the battery, so it
is best to use a timer or stopwatch to measure the duration of your flights and stop flying at an
appropriate time before soft LVC is reached.
IMPORTANT NOTE: Do not leave the lipo battery connected to the controller unless you are
ready to fly. Do not leave the battery connected to the controller when not in use.
The lipo battery will be over-discharged by the low current consumed by the controller.
It can sometimes take a few hours or even a few days to discharge the battery in this manner.
However, will likely result in permanent damage or total failure of the battery (which is not
covered under warranty).
IMPORTANT NOTE: Do not store the lipo flugakku fully charged!
For improved safety and longevity of the LiPo battery, it is best to store it only partially charged
for an extended period of time. Storing the LiPo battery at about 50% charge (equivalent to
about 3.85 V per cell) is usually best. However, you must carefully manage the charge time &
use a voltmeter to achieve this.
If you have the equipment and skills to reach the 50% charge level for storage, this is recom-
mended. If not. just make sure you do not store the battery fully charged whenever possible.
In fact, as long as the battery is stored at room temperature and no more than a couple of
weeks before the next use, it may be best to to store it in a discharged state after the last flight
(as long as the battery was not discharged too much during the last flight).
