1 General description

1.9 Reasonably foreseeable misuse

Misuse includes, in particular:
» using and connecting/installing prohibited components.
» operating the device with a mains voltage different than that indicated on the
device.
» remote controlling roller doors and roller grilles with an increased risk of ac-
cidents.
» using the device for other purposes.
» allowing unauthorised and untrained personnel to operate, maintain and repair
the device.
» installing the device outdoors or in moist areas.
» using the device if it has been damaged or modified, or if it is defective.
» operating the device in an explosion hazard area.
» if any available personnel door is not in a secure position.

1.10 Claims for defects and liability

In general, our "General Sales and Delivery Conditions" apply. These will be provi-
ded to the device operator by the time the contract is concluded, at the latest.
All defect and liability claims for personal injury and property damage are excluded
if they are the result of one or more of the following causes:
» Improper use.
» Use of prohibited components.
» Improper installation, commissioning, operation and maintenance.
» Operating the device with defective safety equipment or improperly installed or
non-functional safety and protective devices.
» Failure to observe the information in the operating instructions regarding trans-
port, storage, assembly, commissioning, operation, maintenance and set-up.
» Unauthorised structural modifications (removing circuit boards, changes to the
roller door controller).
» Work completed by untrained technicians.
» Improper monitoring of device components subject to wear.
» Improperly completed repairs.
» Catastrophes due to external interference or force majeure.
» Vandalism.
