The letter opener IM 15 slits open envelopes measuring up to
28 x 40 cm (DIN E4 format) and approx. 4 mm thick.
Larger and thicker envelopes can also be opened if they are fed
individually.
The machine is charged with stacks of envelopes and can be
continually recharged without interrupting the slitting process.

1. Switch the machine on (1),
2. Tap the stack of envelopes hard on a flat surface several
times to line up the lower edges (A).This ensures that the contents
will not slip down inside the envelope and be damaged by the
slitting blades.
3. Turn the stack of envelopes so that the lined up edges face
upwards (B), then loosen the stack far enough to ensure that the
top edge of each envelope drops into contact with the work
surface (C).
4. Now insert the prepared stack of envelopes (2) between the
transport belt (3) and the pressure arm (4).

If the envelopes are not being drawn into the slitting area
properly, apply gentle pressure either to the pressure arm or the
stack of envelopes until proper transport resumes. Envelopes
which get stuck in the slitting area should be pulled out gently in
a sideways direction
