6.2.1 Fuel qua li ty

re search oc ta ne ra ting of 91 or hig her (pump oc ta ne ra ting of
86 or hig her).

You may use un lea ded ga so li ne con tai ning no more than 10%
et ha nol (E10) or 5% me tha nol by vo lu me.
•
In ad di ti on, me tha nol must con tain co sol vents and cor ro si on
in hi bi tors.
•
Use of fu els with con tent of et ha nol or me tha nol grea ter than
shown abo ve may cau se star ting and/or per for man ce pro -
blems.

Fil ling-up with fuel
Be wa re of en gi ne da ma ge.
Us ing poor-qual ity or con tam i nated fuel can cause en -
gine dam age.

Use only fuel that meets the des ig nated spec i fi ca -
tions.

Never use stale or con tam i nated petrol or an
oil/petrol mix ture.
w
En su re that neit her dirt or wa ter gets into the fuel
tank.
Park the ma chi ne on an even, le vel sur fa ce.
Stop the en gi ne.
Cle an around the fuel fil ler so cket.
Open the fuel filler socket and vi su ally check the fuel level. Re -
fill the tank if the fuel level is low.
Add fuel to the bottomof the maximumfuel level limit of the fuel
tank. Do not over fill. Use un leaded au to mo tive gas o line only.
Wipe up spil led fuel be fo re star ting the en gi ne.
Clo se the tank tight ly.
