4.5 Organisational measures
The operating instructions must always be kept accessible at the place of use of the
measuring system.
In addition to the operating instructions, generally applicable legal and other binding
accident prevention and environmental protection regulations must be paid attention to
and must be mediated.
The respective applicable national, local and system-specific provisions and
requirements must be paid attention to and mediated.
It is mandatory for the operator to inform personnel on special operating features and
requirements.
The personnel instructed to work with the measuring system must have read and
understood the operating instructions, especially section 4 Safety, prior to commencing
work.
The nameplates and any prohibition or instruction symbols applied on the measuring
system must always be maintained in a legible state.
Repairs may only be undertaken by the manufacturer or a facility or person authorised
by the manufacturer.

Transportation, Packaging, Storage
5.1 Transport
The ETS 3000 sensor is supplied in a rugged cardboard box.
When receiving and unpacking, make sure the item has been delivered in full and look
out for any possible transport damage. If present, immediately show it to the shipper.
5.2 Packaging
Do not remove the packing until you are ready to install the unit.
Keep the packing of the device for eventual reuse in case of transport (changing
application areas) or re-storage, it provides the best protection for the device.
5.3 Storage
Information on the permitted environmental conditions at the place of storage can be
found in
20 Technical Data.

Disposal
If the measuring system has to be disposed after expiry of its life cycle, the
corresponding national regulations are applicable.

Functions of the ETS 3000
The ETS 3000 is available with an integral sensor probe and with an external temperature
sensor probe.
Depending on the model, the instrument has the following functions:
Supports IO-Link specifications V1.1 and V1.0
Supports SIO mode
Display of the switching states in SIO mode
Mode display (SIO or SDCI)
Adaptation to the corresponding application using specific parameter settings
Display of the actual temperature in °C or °F.
Display of the lowest value, peak value or a set switch point
