• Avoid unusual postures. Stand up straight and
keep your balance at all times. Always hold the
tool with both hands when working. This allows
better control of the power tool in unexpected
situations.
• Wear appropriate clothing. Never wear loose-
fitting clothing or jewellery. Keep hair, clothing
and gloves away from moving parts. Loose
clothing, jewellery or long hair can get caught
in moving parts.
• If devices are provided for connecting dust
extraction devices, ensure that they are

Electrical safety measures

• The power cord must match a power socket.
Never modify the plug in any way. Do not use
adapter plugs in conjunction with protective
grounding power tools. Unmodified plugs and
matching sockets reduce the risk of electric
shock.
• Avoid body contact with earthed surfaces such
as cables/pipes, radiators, kitchen cookers
and refrigerators. There is an increased risk of
electric shock if your body is earthed.
• Keep the unit away from rain and damp/wet
conditions. The ingress of water into an
electrical appliance increases the risk of
electric shock.

Use of electrical equipment

• Do not apply force to the power tool. Use the
right power tool for your application. The right
power tool will do the job better and safer at the
speed for which it was designed.
• Do not use a power tool whose switch is
defective. A power tool that can no longer be
switched on or off is dangerous and must be
repaired.
• Do not use a power tool whose network cable
is damaged. If the network cable is broken, the
cable must be replaced or repaired to avoid the
risk of electric shock.
• Unplug the tool and/or remove the battery
before making any adjustments to the tool,
changing accessories or putting the tool down.
Such preventive safety measures reduce the
risk of accidental starting of the power tool.
• Keep power tools out of the reach of children
when not in use.

connected and used properly. The use of these
devices can reduce dust-related hazards
• Use the additional handles if available. If you
lose control of the tool, this can lead to injuries.
• Do not be lulled into a false sense of security
and do not ignore the safety rules for power
tools, even if you are familiar with the power
tool after using it many times. Careless actions
can lead to serious injuries within fractions of
a second.
• Do not misuse the cable. Never use the cable
to carry, hang or unplug the power tool. Keep
the cable away from heat, oil, sharp edges or
moving parts. Damaged or tangled cables
increase the risk of electric shock.
• When operating a power tool outdoors, use an
extension cord suitable for outdoor use. Using
a cord suitable for outdoor use reduces the risk
of electric shock.
• If working outdoors / in a damp environment
cannot be avoided, use a residual current
device (RCD). The use of a residual current
device reduces the risk of electric shock .
• Make sure that the moving parts work properly
and are not jammed, that parts are not broken
or damaged and that the tool can be used
completely. Have damaged parts repaired
before use. The cause of many accidents is
due to poorly maintained power tools.
• Check the cutting tools at regular intervals.
Keep the cutting tools sharp and clean.
Carefully maintained cutting tools with sharp
cutting edges jam less and are easier to guide.
• Ensure that you use power tools, accessories,
attachments, etc. in accordance with these
instructions. Consider the conditions in your
work area and the work at hand. Using power
tools for applications other than those for
which they are intended can lead to hazardous
situations.
• Keep handles and grip surfaces dry, clean and
free from oil and grease. Slippery handles and
grip surfaces do not allow safe operation and
