General safety instructions and markings

Safety instructions and important explanations are indicated by the following pictograms:
DANGER
Indicates instructions that must be followed exactly
in order to exclude danger to life and limb of
persons.
CAUTION
Indicates instructions that must be followed
precisely to prevent injury to persons.

Safety instruction

Before operating, read this instruction manual
carefully to become fully familiar with its use.
Improper operation may cause a hazard. Only
the complete observance
instructions and information enables proper use.
The manufacturer accepts no liability for any
damage resulting from improper or incorrect use.
Keep the safety and operating instructions in a
safe place for future use. However, the
instructions in this manual do not replace any
standards or additional (including non-statutory)
regulations issued for safety reasons.

Job security

• Always keep your work surface clean and
illuminated. Cluttered and dark areas invite
accidents.
• Do not operate power tools in potentially
explosive atmospheres, e.g. in the presence of

• Be attentive, work conscientiously and carry
out your work carefully and considerately. Do
not use a power tool when you are tired or
under the influence of drugs, alcohol or
medication. A moment of inattention when
operating power tools can result in serious

mask, non-slip safety shoes, hard hat or
