Open the slider (1) of the measuring probe.
Place the meter on the location being measured.
The measurement zone (1) of the roughness tester must
be aligned on the surface being measured. During meas-
urement, the meter must be stable and still on the surface.
Press the start/stop button (1). Measurement is started.
The display shows the word, «Testing...». When an audible
signal is emitted, this means that the measurement has
been ended.
The determined measured value is shown in the display
(1). While the sensor returns to its original position, no fur-
ther measurement may be taken. Press power button (2)
in order to switch the meter off. Close the slider for the
measuring probe (3).

Protect the meter from heavy im-
pact, shocks and ingress of dust,
moisture, grease or dirt.
The meter must be kept away from strong magnetic fields.
Do not expose the meter to direct sunlight.
Switch the battery off after every usage to save the bat-
tery.
The slider of the measuring probe must be closed after
every completed measurement process.
In order to prevent calibration errors, the calibration gage
must always be stored carefully in the original box.

The roughness tester does not require maintenance. It
should only be cleaned with a dry, soft cloth.

Attery
To charge the battery, connect the USB cable to the meter
(1) and plug it into a suitable power supply (plug socket/
PC etc.).
