noticed, return to CONMED for service.

INSTALLATION INSTRUCTION
WARNINGS:
•
Prior to installing the remote, ensure the contact surfaces of the connector are dry. Moisture in the
connector can cause system malfunctions.
•
Prior to using the remote, ensure it is cool to the touch. A hot remote can cause system malfunctions and
lead to patient injury.
Use surgical aseptic technique to connect the remote to the respective irrigation console.
1. Ensure the main power switch on the pump is turned off. Hold the sterilization container containing the remote in
the vicinity of the Scrub.
2. Remove the remote from the sterilization container and place it in the sterile field.
3. Pass the remote connector body to the Circulator. The remainder of the remote and cord stays in the sterile field.
4. Line up the alignment marks on the remote connector body with the remote receptacle on the pump, and insert the
connector completely. Push straight in until fully seated, do not twist the connector.
5. Ensure the remote door is completely closed prior to use. Attach the clip on the remote cord to a convenient
surface in the sterile field.
Any operating difficulties should be reported to your local Sales Representative or CONMED Customer Service.
Inspections Recommendations
1. Inspect Device Prior to use.
2. Generally, unmagnified visual inspection under good light conditions is sufficient. All parts of the devices should be
checked for visible soil and/or corrosion.
3. Functional checks should be performed where possible.
4. Connectors should be checked for proper mating.
5. Remove or replace damaged components.
CLEANING AND STERILIZATION INSTRUCTIONS
1. Follow universal precautions for protective apparel when handling and cleaning contaminated equipment.
2. Remove all traces of blood and coagulated material, etc., by wiping with a clean, soft, lint-free cloth dampened with
a mild pH-balanced detergent.
3. Prior to any cleaning, sterilization or disinfection, the remote door must be opened to a partially opened position.
4. To clean, immerse remote in warm, soapy water and scrub with a soft brush dampened with a mild pH-balanced
detergent. Remove all traces of blood and coagulated material.
5. Rinse under running water. Rinse again with distilled water.
6. Do not immerse or rinse the Remote connector. Damage may occur.
7. Dry with a clean, lint-free cloth.
8. Individually wrap Remote.
9. Follow the recommended minimum sterilization exposure times listed below.
10. Use the recommended tray parameters in its instruction manual when sterilizing remote in a system sterilization tray.
