DESCRIPTION
The C7115 Apex Hand Control is a hand-held device that provides the same control functions as the 10k
Console and APEX
Universal Irrigation System (except Stand-by and Presets). The remote gives the user the added
®
advantage to control these functions from within the sterile field. It connects to the Remote connector on the front
panel of the pump console. The remote is designed to withstand the harsh temperatures and pressures associated
with autoclave sterilization.
Carefully read the 10k Irrigation Console instruction manual prior to operating this equipment.
The C7115 Apex Hand Control shall be returned every 12 months for servicing.
INTENDED USE/INDICATIONS FOR USE
The C7115 Remote is designed to be used with various Linvatec Irrigation Console for control of certain console
functions from within the sterile field.
CONTRAINDICATIONS
None known.
WARNINGS
1. Do not use equipment in the presence of flammable anesthetics, gases, disinfecting agents, cleaning solutions,
or any material susceptible to ignition due to electrical sparking.
2. The Remote is provided non-sterile, reusable and must be cleaned and sterilized before the first use and
after every use.
3. Failure to follow the specified service interval could result in reduced instrument performance.
4. The remote control should be cool to the touch prior to use. A hot remote control can cause a system malfunction
which may lead to patient injury.
PRECAUTIONS
1. United States Federal law restricts sale of this device to or on the order of a physician.
2. Handle all equipment carefully. If any equipment is dropped or damaged in any way, return it immediately for
service.
3. The warranty becomes void and the manufacturer is not liable for direct or resulting damage if:
•
The device or the accessories are improperly used, prepared or maintained;
•
The instructions in the manual are not adhered to;
•
Non-authorized persons perform repairs, adjustments or alterations to the device or accessories.
4. Clean and sterilize equipment according to instructions for use.
5. After each use, thoroughly clean the Remote.
6. Do not handle the Remote by the cord. Do not pull on the cord to remove it from the surgical console.
Damage may occur. Use connector only.
7. There are no user-serviceable parts associated with this remote. Return to CONMED for service, if needed.
