Troubleshooting Guide

Problem
The processor will
not operate.
Processor stops
during processing.
Can not fit the bowl
to the base, with the
lid fitted.
Food not exiting the
outlet of the express
serve.
Slice or grated food
damaged by the knife
blade.
Unit unstable/
heavy vibrations and
movement.
Heavy splashing or
ingredients ejected
from the feed tube.
Poor performance of
the knife blade and
disc.
Cause
No Power.
Bowl not fitted to power
unit correctly.
Bowl lid not locked on
correctly.
Processor overloaded/
maximum capacities
exceeded.
Lid unlocked.
The On/off switch is in
the 'On' position.
The slinger plate is not
fitted under the grating/
slicing disc.
Operating with the knife
blade and disc fitted in
the bowl.
Processing dough for too
long.
Processor overloaded/
maximum capacities
exceeded.
Re-kneading dough.
Sticky fruit/ingredients
such as dates being
processed.
Pusher not fitted.
Refer to the Hints and tip section and follow the
recommendation in the usage chart.

Solution
Check processor is plugged in.
The processor will not operate
if the bowl or lid are not fitted
correctly into the interlock.
Check that the bowl and lid
are aligned and interlocked
correctly.
Check maximum capacities stated
in the recommended usage chart.
Check lid is locked on correctly.
Move the switch to the 'off'
position.
Fit the slinger plate.
Remove the knife blade before
using the grating/slicing disc.
Use the handle on the lid to
support if the appliance starts to
move on the worktop.
Do not process doughs for
longer than 30 seconds and do
not exceed maximum quantity
recommended in the usage chart.
Re-knead by hand only.
Re-kneading in the bowl is not
recommended as it may cause the
processor to become unstable.
For best results use 'Pulse' first to
break down the ingredients and
then use continuous operation.
Always fit the pusher when
processing dough, pastry and
cakes to prevent splashing from
the feed tube .
