shows OFF for
next 3 seconds
(approx) and
then the display
turns off.
Incorrect tempera-
ture value is
shown on the
display.

Maintenance and cleaning

Ensure that no water enters the product during cleaning!
Regularly clean the product with a dry, lint-free cloth.
If the product is very dirty, use a slightly damp cloth with a detergent.
Ensure no objects enter the opening for the infrared sensor
only clean the opening with light compressed air.

Disposal

The packaging is made entirely of recyclable materials, which you may dispose of
at local recycling facilities.

Possible cause
The ambient temperature is
too low (or) too high.
Low battery.
Did not allow about 30 min-
utes for the product to accli-
mate to the environmental
condition after an ambient
condition has been changed
drastically.
Not suitable measuring
surface.
Solution
Turn-off the product. Move to
the place, where the ambient
temperature can be reached
within the mentioned range.
Allow the product to stabilize
in the working ambient tem-
perature range for minimum
30 minutes. Then, turn on the
product. The product should
function normally.
Replace with new battery
Allow about 30 minutes for
the product to acclimate to
the environmental condition.
Change the measuring
surface.
