• Under abusive conditions, liquid may be ejected
from the battery; avoid contact. If contact acciden-
tally occurs, flush with water. If liquid get in contact
with eyes, additionally seek medical help. Liquid
ejected from the battery may cause irritation or
burns.
• Do not use the tool if it is not in proper working
condition.
• Inspect the tool before operating to determine
that the tool is in proper working order. Check for
misalignment or binding of moving parts and any
other condition that may affect the operation. Do not
operate if any of the above mentioned conditions
occur as it can cause malfunction.
• When leaving the tool in resting position use the
belt hook or place it on the tool side. Do not leave it
resting with the jaws pointing towards the operator
or anyone nearby.
• Only technically skilled persons, who have read and
understood the operating/safety instructions should
operate the tool.
• Keep children and bystanders away while operating
the tool. Distractions can cause you to lose control.
• Store idle tools, chargers and batteries out of the
reach of children and do not allow persons unfamil-
iar with the tool, accessories or these instructions to
operate them, as the tool is dangerous in the hands
of untrained users.
• Do not store the tool in temperatures above
49°C(120°F). When not in use, keep the tool from
high temperature sources or direct sun light.
• Do not expose the tool to rain or wet conditions. Wa-
ter entering the tool will increase the risk of electric
shock and/or tool breakdown.
• The tool is equipped with an overload safety
function, which stops the tool. (alarm sound will
be activated). This occurs because of overheated
motor. To reset the alarm and tool, simply switch off
the tool and leave it to cool down for a while.
• Always assume that the tool contains C-rings. Care-
less handling of the tool can result in unexpected
actuation of the tool and personal injury.
• Do not point the tool towards yourself or anyone
nearby whether it contains C-rings or not. Unex-
pected actuation will discharge the C-rings causing
an injury.
• Do not force the tool. Use the correct tool for your
application as it will do the job better and safer at
the rate for which it was designed.
• Note: TJEP C-Ringer tools are not suitable for
continues use on factory lines.
• Do not actuate the tool unless it is placed firmly
against the workpiece. If the tool is not in contact
with the workpiece, the C-ring may be deflected
away from your target.
• Do not use the tool on work pieces bigger than the
specified maximum as it can stop the jaw's move-
ment and cause permanent abnormal operation of
the tool.
• Do not use this tool for fastening electrical cables.

It is not designed for electric cable installation and
may damage the insulation of electric cables there-
by causing electric shock or fire hazards.
• Do not use the tool to perform other jobs than the
designated function. Especially do not use it as a
hammer. Impact on the tool will increase the risk
of cracked tool body and accidental discharge of
C-rings.
• Do not use the tool if safety warning label(s) are
missing or damaged.
• Do not remove, tamper with, or otherwise cause
tool operating controls to become inoperable. Do
not operate tool if any portion of the tool operating
controls is inoperable, disconnected, altered, or not
working properly.
• Disconnect battery from the tool before making any
adjustments, changing accessories or storing the
tool. Such preventive safety measures reduce the
risk of activating the tool accidentally.
• Keep clear of the jaws during use and in-
spection of the tool. DO NOT hold your hand,
fingers or any other body parts near the jaw or
other moving parts.
• Never place your finger in area marked below. Fail-
ure to comply may result in personal injury.
• Do not operate the tool with batteries other than the
specifically designated battery packs delievered
with this tool.
• Use only C-rings designated in the technical specifi-
cations delievered together with this manual.
• Be careful when handling C-rings, they may have
sharp edges and sharp points.
• Use only accessories made or recommended by
the tool manufacturer, or accessories that perform
equivalently to those recommended by Kyocera
Unimerco Fastening.
• Load the C-rings after loading the battery to prevent
unexpected actuation of the tool and clamping of
the C-rings.
• Disconnect the battery if the C-rings jams in the
tool. While removing a jammed C-ring, the tool may
be accidentally activated if the battery is plugged in.
• Use caution while removing a jammed C-ring. The
mechanism may be under compression and the
C-ring may be forcefully discharged while attempt-
ing to free a jammed condition.
• Turn off the tool and remove the battery when
∙ Not in use;
∙ Performing any maintenance or repairs;
∙ Clearing a jam;
∙ Elevating, lowering or otherwise moving the tool
to a new location;
