Should you accidentally al-
low the vacuum cleaner to
come into contact with an object,
opening the air by-pass vent im-
mediately reduces the suction
force. This remedial action will
prevent such items from being
drawn into the dust bag.

Forcefully retracting
mains cord can cause a "whip-
ping effect" (on account of
the mains cord swinging un-
controllably). This could result
in injury.
■ Hold onto the mains cord
when winding it up.
Operation
1. To switch the appliance off,
press your foot down on the
on/off foot switch (4).
2. Pull the mains plug (13) out of
the socket.

press your foot down on the
mains cord retractor switch (6).
To avoid a "whipping effect",
hold the mains plug of the
mains cord (13) in your hand.
