DISPOSAL/RECYCLING
WARNINGS:
• ALWAYS follow the current local recommendations and/or regulations
governing environmental protection and risks associated with recy-
cling or disposing of the equipment at the end of its useful life.
• ALWAYS decontaminate equipment exposed to infectious material before
sending the equipment to a waste treatment facility.
• Per the European Union (EU) Waste Electronics and Electrical Equipment
(WEEE) Directive 2002/96/EC, product must be collected separately.
• DO NOT dispose of as unsorted municipal waste. Contact your local distrib-
utor for disposal information.
• Contains no hazardous substances, per RoHS standard.

ACCESSORIES

This section describes components that may be ordered to replace original
equipment that is damaged, worn, or must be replaced. This section may also
contain optional components used with the surgical helmet.
WARNINGS:
• Use only THI GmbH-approved components and accessories.
• Using other electronic components and accessories may result in in-
creased electromagnetic emissions or decreased electromagnetic immu-
nity of the equipment.
TROUBLESHOOTING
WARNING:
• DO NOT service this equipment, unless otherwise specifi ed. If you require service, contact your local distributor.
PROBLEM
The fans fail to provide air fl ow.
The fans fail to turn on when
connected to the battery pack.
The face shield lens is
fogging.
The helmet feels unbalanced.
The head gesture does not change
the fan speed.
Sporadic electrical interference
is experienced.

CAUSE
The battery pack is not charged or is damaged.
The battery is not correctly connected.
The fans are defective or the connection is broken.
The battery requires replacement.
The power cord is damaged or the fans are damaged.
The battery is not correctly connected.
Not enough airfl ow is circulating throughout the helmet. Use the required head motion to increase speed of the fans.
The battery pack requires replacement.
The helmet is damaged.
The headbelt is not properly adjusted.
The comfort pads are not properly placed.
The hight strap is not properly adjusted.
The helmet is damaged.
The helmet is not correctly placed on the users head.
The helmet is damaged
The helmet is not correctly placed on the users head.
The head gesture is done incorrectly.
Electrical noise is present.
• DO NOT modify any component or accessory.
• DO NOT reuse, reprocess, or repackage a single use device. A single use
device is intended for a single use only. A single use device may not with-
stand chemical, chemical vapor, or high temperature sterilization repro-
cessing. Design features may make cleaning diffi cult. Reuse may create a
serious risk of contamination and may compromise the structural integrity
of the single use device resulting in operational failure Critical product in-
formation may be lost if the single use device is re-packaged. Failure to
comply may lead to infection or cross-infection and result in patient and/
or health care staff injury.
• Make sure the power plug is easily accessible when connected to the
mains.
The following THI GmbH-approved accessories are sold separately:
DESCRIPTION
Rechargeable Battery Pack.

Comfort Pads – A set of disposable pads are in-
stalled in the inner helmet to provide additional com-
fort; one set per case.
NOTE: For a complete list of accessories, contact your distributor.
ACTION
Change or replace the battery pack.
Check the battery connection.

Tighten or loosen the headbelt using the headbelt adjustment
knob.
