7. Starting the LEADER

First place the device at the beginning of the area to
be sprinkle.
Disconnecting the turbine in neutral position
Tilt the turbine downwards into the neutral position
and attach it using the locking screw (fig. 1). The
hose reel can now be freely rotated (see technical
data, chapter 3).
Extracting the hose
Pull the hose out perpendicular to the machine and
leave a couple of complete windings on the hose
reel (fig. 2).
Check that the hose remaining on the reel fits tightly
and evenly on the reel and is under slight tension
(fig. 3).
Attention: Insufficient tension can damage the
hose when it is being retracted.
Connecting the turbine in operating position
In preparation for sprinkling, the water turbine must
be returned to the operating position (fig. 4). The
gearwheels of the water turbine and hose reel must
engage firmly with each other. Tighten the turbine
locking screw by hand.
Opening the automatic shut-off
Lock the activation handle on the front of the hose
trolley in place by hanging the bolt on the water stop
valve (fig 5). The valve is now open pending
activation via the sprinkler trolley (fig. 6).
