01 SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS

1. Temperature
Heat is generated during operation. Please ensure that the device is used
in an area with proper ventilation and out of direct sunlight. Do not unplug
the CONNECT. If transporting in the tour case, the lid to the case must
remain open during the charging process.

2. Wireless

Do not use the CONNECT in areas where the use of radio equipment is pro-
hibited. 2.4 GHz (2400 – 2485 MHz)
Max. 20dBm ~ 100mW (EIRP*)

3. Water

Plug-in power supplies should not be used outdoors. Please charge the batte-
ry indoors. If you see this symbol , the power pack or the CONNECT must not
be used outdoors. If in doubt, send us an email to info@apelabs.com or give
us a call. You can find the phone number on our website www.apelabs.com

4. Electricity

The power adapter is equipped with a wide-range power supply. 100-240V
50/60Hz. It should work in most countries around the world - but please
check your local power grid. The stand-by power consumption is very low
and energy efficient.

02 SERVICE

1. First steps

1. The CONNECT has a protective film on the acrylic glass surface plate.
Please remove this protective film(s)!
2. The device is usually pre-charged. Ni-MH batteries lose their energy
when stored. It is therefore essential that you charge the CONNECT
with the enclosed power pack before using it for the first time .
3. Please be sure to visually inspect the item for shipping damage. If there
is any damage, inform your dealer or us directly at service@apelabs.
com
4. Product-specific information such as dimensions or spare parts lists

2. Switch on for smartphone or tablet operation

Press the power button for about 2 seconds. The device switches on and is
ready for Bluetooth connection with a smartphone or tablet.
To power off, press the button again for about 2 seconds.

3. Switch on for wireless DMX transmitter operation

Press the power button for about 6 seconds. The device will switch directly
to Wireless DMX Transmitter mode.
Note on the DMX group (DMX universe)
The group (1-4) can be changed by briefly pressing the button. The LEDs
on the device indicate the respective group. To power off the CONNECT,
press the button again for approx. 2 seconds.
