INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE
DANGER
Never touch the cutter after cutting into an electrical wire. The cutter may be carrying live current! Hold the device by the insulated read handle only and slowly put the device down.
Disconnect the damaged wire from the power supply (pull out the plug, switch off the fuse) and remove it from the cutter. Misuse can lead to serious injuries or death.
WARNING
Check the cutting area before starting work. Remove all objects such as strings, cables or fence parts. These can get in the cutter and cause injuries and damage.
·
Do not force the cutting through strong and thick material. The cutting speed can be reduced here. In this case slow the cutting speed.
·
Do not cut branches or twigs with a diameter over 15 mm or any material that is clearly too large for the cutter. Use a different, appropriate tool for this.
·
In the event that the cutter jams, stop the motor, remove the battery and release the cutter. You can use a piece of string as a guide to determine and control the cutting height on a
hedge. See figure 5 Place the piece of string on the hedge for the length and width and cut your hedge at this height. This way you will enjoy optimal cutting results on your hedge. See
figure 6
·
Wear safety goggles for thorns or prickly plants. When cutting young shoots, cut with a sweeping motion. Older growth is more solid and can be cut with a normal forwards motion.

MAINTENANCE AND CARE

CUTTER CARE
WARNING
Any time there is a battery in the device, the device is capable of restarting at any time, even unintentionally. To avoid serious injury, the battery must always be removed before
performing maintenance or changing the cutter and before any other cleaning, service, adjustment or repair work.
CUTTER MAINTENANCE
·
Lubricate the cutter after each use.
·
Inspect the cutter regularly for damage.
·
Only use original spare parts.
LUBRICATE THE CUTTER
See figure 7
·
Remove the battery.
·
Lubricate the cutter after each use, this helps it to last longer. Place the device a flat base. Use special, environmentally friendly oil and apply a little oil at each point as shown.
·
The cutter should be lubricated from time to time, and more frequently for longer jobs. To do this, remove the battery and carry out the procedure before replacing the battery.
LUBRICATE THE HEDGE TRIMMER
Your device is fitted with maintenance-free bearings, and for that reason no maintenance is necessary.
WARNING
Never try to modify, convert or add third-party accessories or unauthorised spare parts to the device. Such procedures can result in injuries, damage and can void the warranty.
WARNING
To prevent injuries and damage, regularly check your device for damage and that the screws are tight.
