to ensure more precise results of the measurements, the measurement range may be changed if required. It is strictly prohibited to
measure the resistance of live elements. In case of measurements of values exceeding 1MΩ the measurement may take a couple
of seconds before the result is stable, which is a normal reaction during measurements of high resistances.
Before the measurement leads are placed at the measured element the symbol „O.L" is displayed.
Measurement of capacity
Connect the measurement cables to the sockets marked as „VΩHz" and „COM", and switch the range selector to the measurement
capacity. Make sure the capacitor was discharged before the measurement. Do not ever measure the capacity of a charged ca-
pacitor, since it might damage the meter and cause an electric shock. In case of measurements of high-capacity condensers the
measurement may last approximately 30 seconds before the result is stable.
In case of the measurements of a low capacity, in order to obtain a more precise result it is required to reduce the capacity of the meter
and the measurement cables through a relative measurement (button „REL"). In case of a measurement of capacities of 100 μF or
more the „OL" symbol will be displayed.
Diode test
Connect the measurement cables to the sockets marked as „ VΩHz" and „COM" and switch the selector to the diode symbol. Use
the „SELECT." Button to select diode test, after which the diode symbol will be displayed. Place the measurement leads at the diode
terminals in the conduction direction and the reverse direction. If the diode is functioning correctly, then at the diode connected in the
forward direction we will read the voltage drop for this diode expressed in mV. In case the diode is connected in the reverse direction
the display will read „O.L". Correctly functioning diodes show a low resistance in the forward direction and a high resistance in the
reverse direction. It is strictly prohibited to test live diodes.
Conduction test
Connect the measurement cables to the sockets marked as „VΩHz" and „COM". Use the „SELECT" button to select conduction test.
The buzzer symbol will be displayed. In case the meter is used for conduction measurements, the internal buzzer will emit sound each
time the measured resistance drops below 50 Ω. It is strictly prohibited to test the conduction of live circuits.
Measurements of temperature
Connect the thermoelement leads to the sockets marked as „mA
C" and „COM". Switch the selector of the meter to „
C". Put the ther-
O
O
moelement to the measured object. The thermoelement supplied with the device permits to realise measurements only up to 250
C.
O
In order to measure higher temperatures it is necessary to purchase a thermoelement that permits to measure higher temperatures.
It is required to use thermoelements type K.
Measurements of frequency
Connect the measurement cables to the sockets marked as „VΩHz" and „COM". Use the „SELECT" button to select measurement
of frequency. The symbol „Hz" will be displayed. Read the result of the measurement in the display. In case of measurements of
frequency, the voltage of the measured signal should be between 1 V rms and 20 V rms. In case of measurements of a signal whose
voltage exceeds 20 V rms, the precision of the measurement exceeds the range indicated in the table.
Measurement of the pulse-duty factor
Connect the measurement cables to the sockets marked as „VΩHz" and „COM". Use the „SELECT" button to select measurement of
the pulse-duty factor. The symbol „%" will be displayed. Read the result of the measurement in the display. The voltage of the meas-
ured signal should be between 3 Vp-p and 10 Vp-p, and the frequency of the signal must not exceed 10 kHz. If the parameters of the
measured signal exceed the indicated range, the precision exceeds the range indicated in the table.
Vp-p – tension between the peak points of the signal.
Measurements of relative humidity
Switch the selector to „%RH". Place the meter in the surroundings whose humidity is to be measured. The humidity sensor is located
at the top of the housing and it is marked with „%RH". Wait until the result of the measurement is stable, and then read the result. In
case of a rapid change of humidity, the time required for the result of the measurement to stabilise may be longer.
Measurements of the noise level
Switch the selector to „dB", and direct the meter towards the source of sound. The noise level sensor is located at the top of the housing
and it is marked with „dB". Read the result of the measurement. The noise level depends on the noise in the surroundings, the location
and the distance between the meter and the source of noise. In case of measurements in the surroundings where the speed of the
wind exceeds 10 m/s, it is recommended to use a screen (not included) placed before the noise level sensor. Otherwise the results of
the measurement will be distorted.
Measurements of light intensity
Switch the selector to „x10Lux" and direct the meter towards the source of light. The light intensity sensor is located at the top of the
housing and is marked as „Lux". Read the result of the measurement, and multiply it by the factor of 10, in order to calculate the light
intensity. The light intensity depends on the direction of incidence, the location of the sensor and the distance between the meter and
