Problem
Disable one or
more hot plates.
[L] is displayed on
the control panel:

Touch buttons do
not respond to

Possible causes
• The safety system
activation.
• The hot plate has not
been turned off for a long
time.
• The touch buttons are
wet or greasy.
• Excessively heated
bottom of empty
cookware.
• The panel is locked.
• The control buttons are
closed by some object or
liquid.
The control panel is locked.
A water film may have
formed on the control panel,
or to control the appliance
you are trying to press the
buttons with your fingertip
instead of a pad.

Solution
• Allow the panels to cool and
try turning on the hot plate
again.
• Contact an after-sales center.
• Wipe the panel with a damp
cloth and wipe with a dry
paper towel.
• Reduce the power of the hot
plate.

• The symbol will go off after you
release or clean the keys.
Unlock the control panel. See the
"Control panel lock" section
Make sure the control panel is
dry and clean and use a finger
pad to control the appliance.
