Tips for maintaining max imum
battery life
1. Charge the battery cartridge before completely
discharged. Alw ays stop tool operation and
charge the battery cartridge w hen you notice
less tool pow er.
2. Never recharge a fully charged battery cartridge.
Overcharging shortens the battery service life.
3. Charge the battery cartridge w ith room
temperature at 10 °C - 40 °C (50 °F - 104 °F). Let a
hot battery cartridge cool do w n before charging it.
4. Charge the battery cartridge if you do not use it
for a long period (more than six months).

Alw ays be sure that the tool is
sw itched off and the battery cartridge is removed
before adjusting or checking function on the tool.
Installing or removing battery
cartridge (Fig. 1)
C AU TION :
Alw ays sw itch off the tool before
removing of the battery cartridge.
C AU TION :
Hold the tool and the battery
cartridge firmly
hen installing or removing
battery cartridge. Failure to h old th e tool and th e
battery cartridge firmly may cause them to slip off your
h ands and result in damage to th e tool and b attery
cartridge and a personal injury.
T o remove th e b attery cartridge, slide it f rom th e tool
w h ile sliding th e b utton on th e f ront of th e cartridge.
T o install th e b attery cartridge, align th e tongue on th e
b attery cartridge w ith th e groove in th e h ousing and slip
it into place. Insert it all th e w ay until it locks in place
w ith a little click. If y o u can see th e red indicator on th e
upper side of th e b utton, it is not locked completely .
C AU TION :
Alw ays install the battery cartridge
fully until the red indicator cannot be seen. If not,
it may accidentally fall out of the tool, causing injury to
y o u or someone around y o u.
C AU TION :
Do not install the battery cartridge
forcibly. If th e cartridge does not slide in easily , it is
not b eing inserted correctly .
Indicating the remaining battery
capacity (Fig. 2)

indicate th e remaining b attery capacity . T h e indicator
lamps ligh t up f or a f ew seconds.

Lighting up the light (Fig. 3)
C AU TION :
Do not look in the light or see the
source of light directly.
P ush th e pow er b utton to ligh t up th e ligh t. T o turn of f
th e ligh t, push th e pow er b utton again.
NOTE: T h e appliance turns on at th e same mode as th e
last setting.
Selecting the mode
During th e ligh t is on, press th e MODE b utton to cy c l e
th rough spot, flood and spot
Turn on strobe lighting (Fig. 4)
P ress and h old th e MODE b utton until th e appliance
turns to strobe mode. T o turn of f th e strobe mode,
simply press th e MODE b utton.
Battery protection system
T h e tool is eq uipped w ith th e protection sy s t em, w h ich
automatically cuts of f th e output pow er f or long service
lif e. T h e ligh t goes of f during operation w h en th e
remaining b attery capacity gets low . T h is is caused b y
th e activation of th e protection sy s t em and does not
s h o w trou b le. Remove t h e b atter y cartridge f rom t h e tool
and ch arge it.
