You should take the following measures before sending the device back to Endress+Hauser, for ex-
ample for repair:
• Always enclose a fully-completed "Dangerous Goods Sheet" with the device. Only then can En-
dress+Hauser transport, test or repair a returned device.
• If necessary, include special handling regulations with the returned product, e.g. a safety datash-
eet in accordance with EN 91/155/EEC.
• Remove all signs of fluids. Pay special attention to the seals and crevices which could contain res-
idues. This is particularly important if the substance is hazardous to health, e.g. flammable, toxic,
caustic, carcinogenic, etc.
Note!
A master copy of the 'Dangerous Goods Sheet' can be found at the end of these Operating Instruc-
tions.
Caution!
• Do not return any device if you cannot be entirely sure that you have completely removed all trac-
es of hazardous substances, e.g. any media which have penetrated crevices or diffused through
plastic.
• Costs incurred for waste disposal and injury (burns, etc.) due to inadequate cleaning will be
charged to the owner-operator.
For a return, e.g. in case of repair, the device must be sent in protective packaging. The original
packaging offers the best protection for this. Repairs must only be carried out by Endress+Hauser's
service organisation. An overview of the service network can be found on the back page of these
Operating Instructions.

Please enclose a note describing the fault and the application when sending the assembly in for re-
pair.
