Disconnect the wood splitter from the power supply.
›
Have the malfunctions rectified by the specialist dealer.
In case of a fire on the electrical equipment of the wood splitter:

Only use extinguishers that are approved for this (e.g. powder
extinguishers).

Safety devices

All safety devices must remain on the wood splitter and must never
be rendered unserviceable. If safety devices are put out of operation,
modified or changed, operating personnel may be injured.
All dangers posed by moving parts (riving knife) are minimised by
the two­hand operation. Furthermore, the wood splitter cannot be
operated if an actuation arm is permanently clamped in the bottom
position. It is prohibited to modify or bypass the two-hand operation.
If the two­hand operation is modified or bypassed, the risk of injury
during wood splitting increases.

Personal protective equipment

›
Always wear the following personal protective equipment during
operation:
• Safety footwear with steel toe caps
• Tight­fitting clothing
• Suitable work gloves
• Eye protection
• Hearing protection
