IMPORTANT INFORMATION
•
The optional internal battery powers the electronics
of the interface only and allows setting the meter to
test mode. All terminal signals have to be supplied
externally. Open collector outputs must be loaded
with 5 mA to 20 mA.
•
The external KDTIN signal has to be set to LO or
must be disconnected to allow proper operation of
the mode switch.
•
As KdT pulses and index increments can be
triggered by simulation as well as by real flow, real
flow should be avoided during KdT tests to prevent
misleading results.
•
Depending on firmware and hardware versions the
optical communication of the meter is limited while
using the UltraMaXX test interface.
•
Removal of metrological seals results in loss of
warranty and loss of CE conformity.

TEST CONNECTOR ACCESS
The test output is located on the right side of the
calculator and is protected by a metrological seal. To get
access this plastic seal has to be removed using a
pointed tool. Care must be taken to avoid damaging the
electronics below. Do not cut-in towards the lower, red
respectively blue part of the housing but in the direction
shown here:
The interface can be plugged on the test connector once
the seal is removed.
VOLUME PULSE MODE
The volume pulse mode is activated when the interface
is powered on, the mode switch is in position VOL and
the READY LED is on. The meter's display remains in
normal resolution.
Passive high resolution volume pulses with values
according to the table below are emitted on the terminal
VOL_PULSE.
Meter type
qp 0,6 heat, cooling or combined meter
qp 1,5 heat, cooling or combined meter
qp 2,5 heat, cooling or combined meter(Europe)

KDT MODE
The KdT mode is active when the interface is powered
on, the mode switch is in position KDT and the READY
LED is on. The activation is indicated on the meter by
high resolution displays of 0,1 Wh for energy and 10 ml
for volume. Additionally a blinking dash between the two
temperature sensor symbols states that the meter's
configuration is unlocked.
Then the output of the passive KdT pulses can be
triggered by a rising edge on the bounce protected
