GENERAL DESCRIPTION

The UltraMaXX test interface enables laboratories to
utilize the calculator and flow meter testing possibilities
of the UltraMaXX family of heat and water meters. It
serves as an electrically isolated connection between
the meter and a pulse counting test device.
The interface consists of a housing holding the
electronics and an optional battery as well as a cable
and a plug. The plug fits in the recommended wear-out
adapter (item code 14940, delivered with the interface)
or directly in the test jack of the meter. Screw terminals
are available to connect the external test device.
A mode switch on the interface allows selecting one of
the two test modes, KdT mode and volume pulse mode.
Those modes enable the test device to trigger and
receive KdT pulses respectively to receive high
resolution volume pulses. Communication between test
device and meter is not covered by the interface but the
interface itself communicates with the meter to assure
proper test mode operation of early firmware versions.
