Safety instructions

During filing, there is a risk of injury to
eyes from sparks or chips. Always wear
protective goggles when working with
the tool!
Depending on the worked material, the
normal noise level (see technical data)
may be exceeded. Always wear earmuffs!
If dust is generated during the
processing, always wear protective mask
and switch on the dust extraction system
at your workplace.
Health protection
Vibration might cause damage to hands and/or upper
limbs. Therefore, keep the time during which you are
exposed to vibration to a minimum!
Wear tightly fitting clothes. Do not wear any jewellery.
Long hair must be covered with a hairnet!
Do not touch electrical components and connections. The

Operating Manual for Pneumatic Straight File
Handling of pneumatic straight file
At the start of each shift, and after prolonged breaks,
inspect the chisel and the tool bit for visible damage.
Ensure that the tool is properly secured in the drill chuck.
Prior to connecting the compressed air line, mount the tool
and ensure that the valve is switched off!
Before changing the tool or carrying out maintenance
work on the chisel, always disconnect the unit from the
compressed air supply line!
During operation, the operating pressure may not exceed
6 bar!
If there is an interruption in the supply of compressed air,
immediately switch off the machine!
When the machine is switched off, the spindle continues
rotating for a short while. Wait until all parts are halted
before setting down the file!
To secure the tool, use a vice or other clamping device!
When working with the file, hold it firmly!
Please note that compressed air in the hose might lead to
unexpected machine behaviour when the file is being
started!
The hose attached to the file must be in perfect working
order. Prior to working with the machine, inspect the hose
and couplings for damage.
Workplace safety
Keep your workplace tidy!
Be aware of the risk caused by hammering air hoses!
When working with the file, concentrate your mind on the
task in hand and keep other persons away from your
workplace!
Store your tools in a safe and clean place!
Repairs may only be carried out by suitably trained
technicians.
